I attended on 4th May to be on the Ask an Expert panel, alongside other specialists including fellow RIBA architects as well as interior designers, landscape gardeners, financial, planning and eco experts to discuss people’s building projects.
Many brought along their house plans, drawings and budgetary ideas to get the most out of the session. With a multitude of ‘showrooms’ under one roof, it was a crucial day for those embarking on a build project, and I was glad to guide those who came along and steer their project along. Consultations were available to pre-book and remaining slots were booked on the day on a first-come-first basis.
One particular client who was interested in embarking on a loft conversion in South London had been racking his brain to get the space to work prior to meeting with me. We’d had a chat about how he wanted to use the space and what his priorities were and within the allocated slot, I came up with some fresh ideas that he hadn’t thought about. He really valued expert advice and left feeling relieved to know that there are many options and had a clearer vision about moving forward with extensions.
